So You Think You're a Collector - Ultra Edition Answer Key

Pencils down.  Pass your papers to the front of the class...

Hmm, ouch, nary a bonafide Ultra Collector in the blogosphere.  However, I will tip my hat to hiflew for giving it the old college try.  Even the "teacher" can't figure out the answer to this test.  Thank you Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards!

So You Think You're a Collector? - Ultra Edition

Well, the last edition of this quiz was pretty much a failure.  Either I had an off day, or people just don't care about Leaf.  I think the latter is most likely.  While I thought the Leaf quiz was hard, I think this one is near impossible.  If someone manages to get all of these correct without cheating (i.e., using the internet or a price guide...Baseballdad) I will be truly impressed.

That said, your task is to put the cards in order by year WITHOUT cheating.  Your answer will be a string of letters starting with 1991's letter and ending with 2007's letter.  Winner gets bragging rights as a true Ultra Collector...

So You Think You're a Collector? - Leaf Edition

Unlike the last Score quiz, this one will not be easy.  Heck, I think it may even out duel the evil Bowman quiz.  It may even best its big brother, the Donruss quiz.  That's right, we're going to learn just how much you know about Leaf.

Leaf originally spawned as a Canadian release for Donruss, similar to Topps' O-Pee-Chee product.  However, with the boon of "high-end" cards in the early 90s as an industry response to Upper Deck, Donruss converted Leaf from a sister set to their premier set.

I will go on record that I've never much cared for Leaf, especially the glossy version.  The near identical Leaf/Donruss sets of the 80s were alright by me because I got to try my hand at French.  Il n'a pas aidé.

With Donruss' downturn in the late 90s, Leaf's fate was identically sealed.  Leaf made a comeback in the early 2000s, but after 17 releases,  Leaf was history after 2005.

Anyways, sharpen your pencils, dust of your erasers and grab some scratch paper because it’s quiz time. Your task is to put the cards in order by year WITHOUT consulting the internet.  Your answer will be a string of letters starting with 1985's letter and ending with 2005's letter.  Winner gets bragging rights as a true Leaf Collector...
