So You Think You're a Collector? - Score Edition

The Bowman and Donruss quizes were such great hits, I am beginning to feel a serial developing.  This time around I am going to slow pitch toss a nice big juicy meatball down the center of the plate.

Score burst onto the scene in 1988, and was immediately lapped up by thirsty collectors.  However, this collector did not jump on the Score bandwagon.  I can't recall ever buying a pack of Score, yet that hasn't stopped me from accumulating over 5,000 Score cards in my collection.

I do remember making trades in the school hallway in front of my locker for some Score.  I even remember a friend of mine who would sell me a bunches of 100 for a $1 a pop.  In essence I was scoring some Score.

After a couple of good years, Score fell precipitously to the bottom of the Big 5 by 1993.  In my opinion this was most likely due to some rather bloated sets in the early 90s that approached 900 cards each.  Nine hundred cards!

Once The Strike hit, Score's fate was sealed.  The last Score release was in 1998 and featured a meager 270 cards.  In September of 1998, Score was sold to Playoff, which became a part of Donruss.  I didn't realize how incestuous the card industry became...

Anyways, sharpen your pencils, dust of your erasers and grab some scratch paper because it’s quiz time. Your task is to put the cards in order by year WITHOUT consulting the internet.  Your answer will be a string of letters starting with 1988's letter and ending with 1998's letter.  Winner gets bragging rights as a true Score Collector...
